Joel Andrew BLUNDEN

I'm a live and studio session drummer with over 15 years of gigging, touring and recording experience. I grew up playing in church on Sundays and moved on to playing in a mix of function and original bands. This lead me to play at venues and festivals such as Standon Calling, Silverstone Woodlands, and O2 Academy Islington to name a few. Although I'm predominantly self taught, I have sought lessons with professional drummers and educators, Gabor Dornyei and AJ Rousell and Richard Hawkin (Hacktivist). As well as being a drummer, I'm a keen all round musician and enjoy composing songs, playing piano, the guitar and singing.

I started "Gorilla Drum Co ." (now The Drum Cupboard) in 2018 and made the transition to full-time, professional musician. I provide drum tuition both privately and through external education companies. My private studio is based in Bletchley (Famous for Bletchley Park), Milton Keynes. I work with all ages and abilities and offer drum tuition, song writing, beginner piano lessons. I work with local charities such as Time4Autism and MK Community Foundation. Together we offer a project that provides access to music and drumming to children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder. Many of the children from the projects are still continuing 1-1 lessons with me today.

I offer recording services at my studio as well as offering remote session work and in house drum engineering at your preferred studio. You can also hire me to creatively produce your music, compose for you as well as be your live drummer for gigs and tours.
